Enjoy a leisurely three mile photo-walk across the picturesque city of a Winter Park, exploring and photographing some of the instructor’s favorite sites and buildings. Workshop stops will include scenic gardens, parks and historic places. Workshop will include a leisurely lunch at a Park Avenue restaurant. Open to all levels of students, working in digital or film (free loaner cameras available).

Macramé is a form of textile that uses knotting techniques and comes from the 13th century weavers’ word for “fringe”. This fiber art form was popular in the 60s and 70s and now it’s back and as popular as ever. Join local artist Alyssa Foxson, and embrace your inner boho goddess. Learn all the basic macramé knots needed to make a macramé wall hanging and beyond. All supplies are included and you will leave this workshop with a beautiful wall hanging ready for display. All are invited to this 2-day workshop to discover the intricacies of palette knife painting using oil paints. Discover the hidden brilliance and clarity of the colors themselves and how they impact each other on the canvas using this medium style. Your instructor will introduce and guide you through the process of oil painting techniques, color mixing, composition and application with a palette knife. Students are encouraged to bring in their own images. The instructor will also have some available. The experience will focus on the joy of painting, creating and learning to be in the moment.

Here’s a chance to sit around the table and play. Learn to use the pinch forming method to make small heads. Manipulate the clay from inside the form to enhance facial features before closing it up. Design a base for the head as you make it. The second meeting will be dedicated to decorating and glazing. Skill level: All

**Workshop takes place Saturday & Sunday, December 18 & 19, 9am – 4pm**

Work from a live model in this 2 day workshop and explore painting the figure in oil. While approaching figure painting in a gestural alla prima manner, we can train our eyes to quickly judge relationships in proportion, value and color. Work through logical steps to realize the three dimensional form of the model, while also focusing on structure and anatomy. There will be discussions on drawing, basic color theory, palette organization and paint application through demonstration and practice.
