Crealdé School of Art Covid-19 Safety Measures

Dear Crealdé Students, Members and Visitors,

Thank you for your patience and support. We have prepared a Health and Safety plan for our campus and classes. We have also been thoroughly disinfecting everything inside and out on campus. Crealdé remains committed to complying with local and national safety recommendations and are instituting measures that are unique to our campus. The following safety features and health practices will be in place until further notice.

It is through everyone’s help and diligence that we have been able to operate safe Summer & Fall I sessions of classes, workshops and art camps for over 500 students. While it is not always easy and comfortable, we thank you for wearing your safety masks, practicing social distancing while on our campus and staying at home when you are not feeling well.

Crealdé School of Art Covid-19 Safety Measures

  1. In compliance with Orange County’s Mask Mandate, we are REQUIRING students and visitors to wear a mask on Crealdé campuses, including studios, classrooms, galleries, and office. As they have since the reopening of the school in mid-May, all staff and faculty will continue to wear them until further notice.
  2. We are reducing the maximum number of students in our classes to 6 – 8 students depending on classroom size and medium.
  3. We are reconfiguring our studio spaces and work tables to allow for 6 feet social distance. Classroom floors will be clearly marked in a way that student traffic and pathways utilized will not impede or intrude upon the six-foot or more social distancing.
  4. Galleries and exhibition spaces will be limited to 10 visitors at a time adhering to the 6 foot social distancing guideline.
  5. On a daily basis, Crealdé and Heritage Center staff are cleaning bathrooms and disinfecting doors, handles and classroom surfaces.
  6. We promote frequent and thorough hand washing by faculty, staff, students and visitors.
  7. We continue to ask that any staff, faculty, students or visitors who are coughing, sneezing or in general not feeling well, to please stay at home, and to continue to follow the directions of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) or a health professional. Anyone demonstrating health issues will be asked to leave.
  8. Students are encouraged to use their personal work/art tools and equipment when possible. For youth classes, separate individual “baggies” will be provided for each student’s class supplies.
  9. We are instituting regular/enhanced instructor housekeeping and maintenance/janitorial practices, including routine cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces, equipment, and other elements of the school environment after each class is dismissed.

As an extension of these measures, we also would like to ask you to inform our office staff if you are showing COVID symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who has been tested positive.

Please watch our website and newsletter for any updates or changes we make to comply with local and national guidelines. Our office staff is available at 407-671-1886 if you have any questions.
