Required Supplies
White drawing pad: 14 x 17 or 18 x 24, larger is better. Could be sketch, charcoal, pastel, or newsprint drawing pad. More inexpensive, thinner paper is perfect for this workshop.
Kneaded eraser and Vinyl/ plastic eraser
Dry drawing media: several compressed Charcoal sticks of different grades (could be square or round). Several charcoal wooden pencils of various grades.
Optional: small set of colored soft pastels.
Cell phone: students may want to use reference photos for first part of class.

Mike Lynch
Mike Lynch is a visual artist, art teacher and ukulele musician. He has a BFA degree in Painting from Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles and has pursued post-graduate studies in Art Education from Otis and Inner-City Arts (LA).
Mike taught drawing classes in creativity and fundamentals for 14 years in Los Angeles and for 7 years was Artist-in-Residence at Covenant House, a shelter for at-risk teens. Mike was judge for the fall 2023 Annual Members’ Showcase Awards Exhibit at the Art League of Daytona Beach.
