Mission and History

Crealdé School of Art is a nonprofit community arts organization located in Winter Park, Florida. Since 1975, Crealdé has provided community-based hands-on arts experiences to people throughout Central Florida. In 2007, through a partnership with the City of Winter Park, Crealdé opened the Hannibal Square Heritage Center to expand our capacity for fulfilling our mission of making the arts available to everyone. We offer over 125 visual arts classes and humanities-based programs at our two Winter Park locations, and we have branched out into the City of Winter Garden, offering classes at the Jessie Brock Community Center. Read more about our history and missions, become a member, attend a gallery event, take a class, and celebrate community arts with us all year long!

Mission

The Crealdé mission is to stimulate the creative process inherent in each individual through hands-on education in the visual arts and to cultivate a lifelong aesthetic appreciation. This mission is realized through comprehensive studio art instruction and interaction with professional working artists; presentation of gallery exhibitions and lectures; related art activities that stimulate art exploration and specialization including an extensive outreach program that services at-risk minority youth, individuals with disabilities and seniors; and fostering cultural diversity and understanding of pluralism and preservation of our cultural heritage.
