Learn the fundamentals of the most important art form: drawing. Our goal is to draw realistically and train our eyes to capture what is in front of us. We will see how light and shadow creates form, practice subtle transitions in shading, use of proportions, angles, and more. Anyone can learn to draw, and with practice, you can bring your artistic visions to life. Skill level: Beginner

Glen Ward
Glen Ward began his formal career as an artist in 1974 studying acrylics, pastels and watercolors at the Orlando Museum of Art and beneath Wally Clewitt at the Maitland Art Center in Maitland, FL. Glen has been an instructor at the Maitland Art Center since 2000, and over the decades has flexed his cross-disciplinary skills in soft and oil pastels, acrylics, oils, watercolors and multimedia works. Glen has authored three books: Come On In, The Water’s Fine (watercolors), The Wonderful World of Pastel, and The Secrets of Perfect Portraits.
