David will demonstrate a variety of mold-making techniques using clay, plaster, low temperature wax, alginate, latex and silicon. Castings will be made using hydrocal plaster, plastic, wax, and a variety of cements.

David will create a clay sculpture demonstrating techniques of armature construction, application of clay and the basic proportions of the head. The lecture and demonstration will include information on educational material, modeling materials and finishing of the final works.

**Workshop takes place Saturday & Sunday, September 17 & 18**
An introduction to a variety of techniques in the creation of wax sculptures. Once the wax sculpture is made, students prepare their own waxes with gates and sprues in preparation for the ceramic mold making process. Waxes are coated with state of the art ceramic shell and then the wax will be burned out and the molten bronze will be poured into the molds. The cost includes a five pound bronze sculpture, with the option to purchase additional material for large works. Skill level: All
