** This class will be presented as a hybrid learning opportunity, with classroom instruction via Zoom and on-location field trips**

Catch the shot and the passion for bird photography! Explore techniques on how to get as close as possible to the bird’s environment while capturing that prize photograph. Practice these techniques during instructor-led field trips with lifelong birder and bird photographer, Milton Heiberg.

Required Supplies

Digital Camera. Long-focal-length lens(es).

Special Notes

Prerequisite: PH147 or similar experience and a 300mm lens (if you are planning to purchase please wait until after the first class).

Instructor

Milton Heiberg

Beginning with the gift of a Brownie Target camera at age 8, Milton Heiberg has been an avid photographer all of his life.  He moved to Florida in the late 90s after a successful career as a commercial photographer in New York City.  Heiberg is a frequent lecturer on wildlife photography, special effects, and general photography, and has used his photography to advocate for the Florida Scrub Jay and wildlife preservation.  Thousands of his images have been published worldwide.  He is the author of seven books on photographic technique and has been teaching at Crealdé School of Art since 1999.
