Mads Ludvigsen was born and raised in rural Denmark and studied Art and Design at The Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. His work is focused primarily on hand built ceramics using all the techniques: coil, slab and pinching. Mads’ creative journey also includes working with wood, printmaking, sculpture and design. He has had exhibitions in Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Estonia, Oakland and Asheville. His work for the past ten years has been a ceramics collaboration with his wife, in which they explore unique and whimsical designs for the public.
