Experience the magic of the potter’s wheel! Shape a soft, clay ball into a form then get creative with hand building and transform thrown forms into functional or decorative treasures. Repeated sessions develop skills.

Belinda Glennon
An accomplished artist and educator, Belinda Glennon joined the Crealdé faculty in 2002 and became the Young Artist Program Manager in 2009. She teaches handbuilding and wheel throwing ceramics classes for adults and children. Glennon has been the coordinator for on-site, public school field trips for 15 years. In 2012, she initiated the ceramics program at the school’s Winter Garden facility, where she still travels once a week to inspire the young at heart to play in the mud. Glennon holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Central Florida. Glennon exhibits in art festivals and galleries including Thomas Center Galleries, Gainesville; Armory Art Center, West Palm Beach; 5th Avenue Gallery, Melbourne; Florida Craftsmen Gallery, St. Petersburg; Tavares City Hall; and the Alice & William Jenkins Gallery, Crealdé School of Art, Winter Park. Her work is in the collection of the City of Apopka.
