The Shape of Her Story

Location: Showalter Hughes Community Gallery

Presented in celebration of International Women’s Month, The Shape of Her Story features the work of the Women Artists Group, a collective of accomplished Central Florida artists founded in 2015 to foster artistic growth, collaboration, and creative exchange.

Composed of professional women artists with extensive exhibition records, including several who are faculty members, studio artists, and former students of Crealdé School of Art, the group brings together diverse artistic perspectives shaped by experience, curiosity, and a shared commitment to creative excellence.

Through painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, and other visual forms, the artists explore personal narratives, cultural influences, and contemporary issues through distinctly individual perspectives. Reflecting the strength, resilience, insight, and imagination of women artists, the exhibition celebrates the many ways women interpret and shape the world around them.

The Shape of Her Story offers audiences an opportunity to engage with a dynamic collection of artwork that highlights the richness of women’s creative voices and the enduring contributions they make to Central Florida’s cultural landscape.
