Dylan found his passion for photography when he traveled abroad on summer breaks throughout high
school. He worked on community service projects, from building schools in remote villages in Myanmar to
rainforest conservation projects in Costa Rica. Each trip he made sure to bring a camera. When creating an
image, he is always looking to make it his own, while also allowing space for the viewer to understand and
experience the moment in their own way. Dylan enjoys learning different lighting patterns and understanding
the ethics involved in capturing an image. Many of his images are raw and uncut. Dylan wants the viewer to
see the world how it really is, and also see places that people would not normally see in their daily wanderings.
Dylan’s time studying photojournalism has helped him portray images in an ethical and engaging way.
As a result of his experiences at Rochester Institute of Technology, he developed an interest in motorsports
photography, and as he continues teaching and shooting, he looks forward to bearing witness to the magic and
mayhem that comes out of his camera.
