An artist and teacher from Philadelphia, PA. Giovanni has 29 years of teaching experience and has been teaching at Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia for the last 17 years. He studied painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts where he graduated in 1992. He is a working artist, showing his work in galleries in Philadelphia, PA, New York City, and Wilmington, DE.
His teaching expertise is introducing students to see like a painter, by learning to see relationships in colors, values, proportions, application of paint, brush work, and many more from direct observation. He enjoys painting from direct observation as well. Giovanni enjoys working with students one on one, to develop their self confidence in expressing themselves through their painting regardless of what level they are – from beginner to advanced. Giovanni enjoys teaching alla prima landscape and still life as well as interior and clothed figure painting in oil.
